There’s still time to sign-up for the District 90 IMSA STEM Afterschool Program. Registration has been extended for students in Grades 3-5 and will remain open until October 5. Please see program details below:
Grades | Fighting Fire with STEM |

3 - 5 | This module focuses on the study of STEM in the field of science. Students experience hands-on and inquiry-based activities to develop an understanding of the type of knowledge required to become firefighters, such as fire facts, rescue procedures, fire behavior and combustion, fire scene investigation, and innovations in fire prevention and extinguishment equipment. In addition, students will have a deeper understanding of fire safety by being familiar with why things happen in a fire and how to manage them. |
Lincoln Starts Tues. October 18; Sessions run on Tuesday, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Willard Starts Wed. October 19; Sessions run on Wednesdays, 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Please note that there are no IMSA STEM afterschool sessions on the week of November 7, the week of November 21, and on December 21.
The program cost is $200. Eligible students who have demonstrated financial need will have the fee waived. Please note that families will need to arrange transportation for their students if they sign up for a session in a different school. To register, please click the appropriate link below:
