District 90 Student Registration

Returning Student Registration

Registration for current District 90 students returning for the 2025-26 school year will open April 2, 2025 at 9AM. All the District 90 registration forms are online and can be found within the PowerSchool parent portal. You will need a PowerSchool Parent Portal account to access the registration forms.

Families of incoming Kindergarten students who have filled out the Intent to Enter Kindergarten form and confirmed their residency will receive a letter via email on how to set up a PowerSchool account and complete the registration process.

All returning students and new Kindergarten students who have already confirmed their residency will be able to register through the PowerSchool parent portal. However, if the District is unable to verify residency, verification of a lease or affidavit, or the fees from the 24-25 school year have not been paid, families will not be able to access the PowerSchool parent portal until the issues are resolved.

Please complete the online registration forms on or before May 16th, 2025.  Students whose online registration forms have been completed by this date will be able to keep their iPad over the summer months.  If registration forms have not completed, students iPads will be collected the last week of school.

**If returning student registration has not been completed before May 16th, this may also result in a delay in classroom assignments and scheduling.**

All students returning to District 90 schools for the 25-26 school year will have their residency electroncially verified. If there is a discrepancy, or residency cannot be verified this way, the registrar will reach out to those effected and request additional documentation. Please make sure the district office has the most updated addresses and legal documentation on file for your child(ren).

Verifying residency is an effort to protect taxpayers and District resources by ensuring that students attending D90 schools reside within the boundaries of the school district. Illinois law mandates that families demonstrate residency prior to enrollment in school and supports periodic verification to validate ongoing compliance with the law.

New Student & Kindergarten Registration

River Forest Public School District 90 is now processing all new student registrations (including Kindergarten) electroncially. Families registering new students in District 90 for the first time must contact the District 90 Registrar, Devin Howe, to begin the registration process.

There will be a Kindergarten Information Night held at both Lincoln and Willard Elementary Schools on Thursday, February 13th at 6:30pm. The event is for all parents with children who will be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2025.
