Roosevelt students took five of the top 25 spots, including first place, at the 40th Annual Fenwick Jr. High Science Contest. Competing against 538 students from 38 schools, the 23-member Roosevelt contingent answered questions in a wide range of scientific disciplines, such as biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, and astronomy. Several Roosevelt faculty members helped prepare students for the contest, notably, Charles Juister, Corin Kadlec, Alex Mendrala, and Amy Rains. Roosevelt's five high scorers are Katie Cahill, 20th place; Nate Mitzenmacher, 13th place; Peter Zeh, 6th place; George Bourgikos, 4th place; and Cole Ruehle, 1st place. Congratulations go to the entire team for a significant achievement.
