This year marked the First Annual 8th Grade Team Building Competition: Roosevelt Adopts a Bulldog! Each classroom was divided into five teams that were given a Make-do Kit of clips, hinges, and a plastic saw. The teams designed sketches of a bulldog made entirely from cardboard, and had themes related to their years at Roosevelt.
The teams presented their creations to a "Shark Tank" panel to convince them why the team's bulldog was the best in design and theme, and should represent Roosevelt during the next school year.
The winner (pictured here) is created with identical pieces of cardboard. It includes a fountain and water dish, and cans from a service project. It will be on display in the Roosevelt office throughout the 2014-15 school year. Other entries will be featured in Bulldogs on Parade throughout the building during the year. Congratulations to all of the participants on a job well done!
