District 90’s Special Education Advisory Committee will be hosting a panel discussion and resource fair on Wednesday, February 7 starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Roosevelt Multi-Purpose Room. The topic of the panel discussion is A Family’s Perspective and features parents and siblings of children with special needs discussing some of the advantages and challenges of living with a special needs child.
A Resource Fair will follow the panel discussion and will feature representatives from local organizations including Aspire Coffee, Community Support Services, West Suburban Special Education Recreation Association, Opportunity Knocks, RF Library, RF Park District, Intuit Dance, Paper Hearts, Ovation, West Cook YMCA, Little Bits, and others.
Families of children with and without special needs are invited to attend. The event is free and open to the public.
