The Board of Education announced the selection of Cal Davis as its newest Board member. Mr. Davis will fill the vacancy left by the recent resignation of former Board Vice President Anne Gottlieb. Mr. Davis assumes his position immediately.
An 18-year resident of River Forest, Cal Davis has two children who attend Lincoln and Roosevelt Schools. He is an active member of the District 90 and River Forest community, and currently serves as a member of the District’s Inclusiveness Advisory Board, the River Forest Park District Foundation Board, the Citizens Corps Council, and the River Forest Township Youth Services Committee. Previously, Mr. Davis served on the District’s 2015 Strategic Planning Committee, the District 90 Community Caucus, and various positions on the Lincoln School and Roosevelt Middle School PTOs.
Mr. Davis currently serves as an execution broker for ABN AMRO Clearing, where he handles global securities trading primarily in Europe and Asia. Prior to that Mr. Davis worked in the global securities industry for Endeavor Trading and the Trans Market Group. Mr. Davis holds a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University.
