You’re invited to a dedication ceremony for the former Washington School that will take place on Wednesday, May 31 at 5 p.m. in the garden area of the District Administration Building, 7776 Lake Street. Officials from River Forest and District 90 will commemorate an art deco bas-relief frieze from the school. The Washington School had several panels above its entryways. One of the panels has recently been relocated to District 90's grounds. Prior to its demolition in 1997, the Washington School had been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Please join us.
