River Forest Community Comes Out to Celebrate Lincoln's 2015 Blue Ribbon Award

About 400 students, parents, Board members, faculty and staff, volunteers, Village officials, and friends of Lincoln School came together on Thursday, October 22 for a community celebration to honor Lincoln receiving the 2015 National Blue Ribbon Award. The event was held on the school’s Franklin Playground and featured music, singing by students, brief remarks, and general revelry by all assembled. Providing brief remarks were current Lincoln Principal Casey Godfrey and former Lincoln Principal Pam Hyde, District 90 Superintendent Ed Condon, and Board of Education President Pat Meyer. Officials from the Village and the River Forest Police Department mingled among the families sipping hot chocolate and munching on cookies decorated to highlight the Blue Ribbon Award. Much appreciation goes to the Lincoln PTO for making this celebration such a success!
