Lincoln School Recognized as a 2015 National Blue Ribbon School

Lincoln School has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for 2015. Lincoln joins more than 300 schools across the country in receiving this prestigious award. Lincoln’s recognition is based on its overall academic excellence and demonstration that all students can reach high levels of achievement.

Lincoln Principal Casey Godfrey and second grade teacher Pam Moriarty will attend the recognition ceremony on November 9-10, 2015 in Washington, DC.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program honors public and private elementary, middle, and high schools that are either high performing or are making notable improvements in closing the achievement gap. The award affirms the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging content.

District 90 will host the Department of Education when it visits Lincoln School to bestow the award and a community-wide event celebrating this recognition. More information on the upcoming events will be available after the November recognition ceremony in Washington, DC.
